Lights:
The room lights inside the yurt and the outside lights are both controlled by the second switch on the left side of the bed as well as the indicated switch next to the door. The pendant light in the kitchen area is only controlled by the switch on the right side of the counter.
Heating / Cooling:
Your yurt is equipped with a heat pump capable of both heating and cooling. Use the remote control to select the mode (heating, cooling, or auto), change the temperature and the fan speed. The remote control is mounted next to the left-side of the bed.
Fan:
The overhead fan is controlled using the remote control mounted on the wall next to the bed and the indicated switch next to the front door. The switch next to the door must be on for the fan to work. The remote should be used to select the desired speed.
Coffee / Tea:
A Keurig is provided in the yurt along with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate pods. Packets of sugar and natural sweetener are also available. Organic 2% milk is provided in the fridge. If you need more, please just let us know.

Water:
The water in the yurt is from a well on the farm and is drinkable.
Utensils / Dishes:
Glasses, mugs, bowls, and plates are provided in the kitchen area of the yurt. Dish soap and a sponge is also provided in the kitchen area. The ‘Summer Kitchen’ on the deck next to the barbecue has mixing bowls, cutting knife, and pots and pans.
Bathroom / Toiletries:
All-in-one body wash / shampoo is provided on the tiled shelf next to the tub and hand soap is available next to the sink. Lotion and tissues are available on the glass shelves above the toilet. Extra toilet paper, soap, lotion, and a first aid kit are available in the bottom drawer under the sink.
** Please do not flush anything except toilet paper.
Outside towels:
Towels suitable for wiping down 2 or 4-legged friends are available in the basket under the bench by the front door. Please do not use the white towels outside or to wipe down pets. We are happy to provide additional outside towels if required.
No-Nos (not many):
Please do not light any candles or incense or try to cook inside the yurt. In essence, no naked flames are allowed in the yurt. Smoking of any kind inside the yurt is also not permitted.
Outside Living

Fire Pit / Firewood:
Your yurt has a private fire pit. It will be set up ready to go on your first night. Extra firewood is in the rack on the left side of the deck under a cover, together with fire starters and kindling. A lighter is provided in the yurt on the desk. The wire mesh cover on the fire pit should not be handled once a fire has been lit – a poker is provided next to the wood rack so that you can safely move the cover. If you need more of anything or help setting it up, please contact us.
Barbecue Grill:
A propane barbecue grill is provided on the backside of the deck under a cover. Grilling utensils are hanging under the prep table (or ‘Summer Kitchen’) opposite the barbecue. You will need to open the valve on the propane tank prior to use. Please close the valve after the use.
* Please do not move the grill or put the cover back on while the grill is still hot. If you have any operating questions or run out propane, please contact us.

Summer Kitchen:
A 'summer kitchen' is provided opposite the grill as an area to wash and prep for your barbecue. Basic cooking utensils and pots and pans are provided. The grilling tools for the barbecue are also hanging on the right side of the prep area. Once temperatures get down to freezing, we unfortunately have to turn off the water to the sink.

Trash / Recycling:
Trash (silver) and recycling (green) bins are situated behind the yurt; please place your excess garbage in it. It is checked regularly – however, if it requires emptying, please let us know.
